My mother and I and another breeder started the HIBERNIAN LYNX breed in 2022 with REFR (Rare and Exotic Feline Registry)
The HIBERNIAN LYNX is the newest experimental breed of domestic cats recognized by REFR.
The HIBERNIAN LYNX foundational breeds are essentially, Highlanders crossed with Bengals and a few other proprietary breeds.
The HIBERNIAN LYNX standard body type is a beautiful cat with spotted or rosetted markings, an athletic, muscular body structure, curled ears, large round eyes, broad paws and short tail.
The HIBERNIAN LYNX disposition is gentle and playful. Active, yet calm. Confident, sociable, friendly and dog-like.
You can find out more on the REFR site under breeds, click Hibernian Lynx.

Striving to breed healthy, happy beautiful cats with a wild look.
We breed Hibernian Lynx, highlander cats and bengals.
My studs and queens are DNA health screened via wisdom panel and tested FIV/FELV negative.
I feed a mostly raw diet to my cats along with ziwi peak and 4 health or wholesomes grain free cat food.
I guarantee my kittens to be healthy for 1 week after sale and free of genetic defects.... if a problem comes up we offer a full refund upon return of the kitten or trade for another kitten of equal value upon confirmation by a licensed vet within 1 week after pickup for non genetic issues, or within 6 months for genetic issues.
My kittens are raised in my home with my children and love attention... they range in personality from very active bengals, playful Hibernians to laid back easy going highlanders.
I was recently interviewed about the Hibernian Lynx breed for an article by the Finnish Cat Magazine, Kissafani, "cat fans" and I was able to get it translated into English! They did a wonderful job, but because of the language barrier some things weren't quite accurate...
I'd like to add that none of this would have been possible without God's blessings!
Both me and my daughter, Jeanie Carr were in this together from the very start. I couldn't have done this by myself, she had a great eye for picking out the cats to use and how to cross them as well as taking the photos.
Also a note on the Jungle Curl....The Jungle Curl didn't originate with the Bengal.... it's origins are from crossing the wild African Jungle Cat with the domestic Highland Lynx breed.
